Wigeon – 38 counted in Mount Lake
Teal – over 100 at Sturt Pond
Eider – 2 males feeding off the lee shore at Hurst
Red-breasted Merganser – 10 feeding in the river mouth including 6 males.
Great-crested Grebe – 4 feeding in estuary mouth.
Little Egret – 6 counted across the patch
Oystercatcher – over 20 counted across the area.
Ruff – 3 feeding in field adjacent to Sturt Pond
Grey Plover – 24 counted in the creeks
Dunlin – an estimated 800 feeding in the river creeks.
Black-tailed Godwit – 24 counted including a flock of 20 in river mouth.
Black-headed Gull – estimated over 300 across the patch
Herring Gull – over 40 in area
Gannet – 2 fishing off Dolphin Bank
Raven – a pair on the Spit/Bank
