Join us on a Royal Dog Hunt
Throughout the summer school holidays, visitors to Hurst Castle can take part in our trail, running daily called: ‘We’re going on a Royal Dog Hunt’
Hurst Castle, built by King Henry VIII in 1544, had a soft spot for animals, cherishing his many pet dogs who became his favourite companions.
Two of Henry’s favourite pet dogs had a knack of escaping – much to the King’s distress, leading him to offer generous rewards for their return.
Now it’s your turn to find them plus discover other Royal dogs along the way by going on a dog hunt – find them all and you’ll also be rewarded for doing so!
Our trail is available daily and is included in your castle admission.
